From a competitive perspective, the course is flat and designed for speed. The race begins at the toll plaza of the 25 de Abril Bridge and finishes in front of the iconic Jerónimos Monastery.
Course Overview
Starting on the 25 de Abril Bridge, runners head towards Alcântara along Avenida 24 de Julho, then continue to Praça do Comércio. Upon reaching Campo das Cebolas, they turn back, running towards Avenida da Índia with the Jerónimos Monastery as a striking backdrop. The route then follows Marginal Avenue alongside the Tagus River, reaching almost to Dafundo before looping back to cross the finish line beside the Jerónimos Monastery.
