In this exclusive webinar, you had the opportunity to learn from industry experts about the thriving Portuguese property market and equip you with the knowledge and insights needed to navigate its exciting potential.

Portugal's property market is experiencing a thriving boom, fuelled by a confluence of factors such as increasing foreign investment and an influx of wealthy investors and retirees.

According to a recent report by Property Market Index, the Portuguese real estate market is expected to continue its upward trajectory in the coming years, with demand for high-end properties remaining particularly strong.

Data from the Portuguese National Statistics Institute (INE), also reveals an impressive 8.1% increase in the average house price in Portugal so far in 2023, marking the fastest rate of growth since 2010.

This webinar, featured industry experts in Portugal who discussed its real estate hotspots and trends in 2024.

Our expert panel included Anne Brightman, who is CEO and Founder of Brightman Group, a boutique real estate agency with offices near Lisbon and the Algarve. Anne brought a wealth of experience in international real estate from the US and applied best practice and decades of experience to the Portuguese real-estate market.

Alongside Paul, we also had Gerry Fagan who is Chairman at DDM & Reserva da Luz and has four decades of experience and a particular know-how in the development, management and operation of property related investments including residential, resorts and mixed-use projects with a proven record of accomplishments in these sectors.

Hosting this exclusive webinar was Steve Philp, Partnership Manager at Portugal Pathways.

Our panel debated and discussed some of the factors contributing to this robust growth such as a strong economy, escalating demand, and Portugal's growing appeal as a world-leading relocation destination for the wealthy, renowned individuals, affluent expats, and professionals.

Will is asking:
I'd love to know what the panel think the impact may be on the Portugal market given the withdrawal of the golden visa and recent withdrawal of favourable tax breaks (specifically NHR).

The withdrawal of the Golden Visa real estate option and the recent end of the Non-Habitual Tax regime to new entrants could definitely affected the Portuguese property market. It is still to early to say whether this would have positive or negative impact, however, this has not slowed down Portugal's popularity, as the property market is still thriving and people are still relocating to Portugal in high numbers despite these changes.

Steven is asking:
Thoughts about the property market in central Portugal?
