Tech Foundry Portugal - Deep Tech Edition is a national scheme designed to help scientific and technological teams move from the lab to market validation.
It will support up to 40 teams with applications now open. Deadline for entries is July 3.
The programme is designed for university teams, R&D centres, and science-based start-ups with verified technologies in a laboratory context that want to accelerate their way to market.
Areas covered will include AI, biotech, ocean and marine technology, clean energy, space and aeronautics and robotics.
The programme is held between September and December 2026, in a hybrid format in Porto, offering participants access to an international network of investors, experts, and industrial partners.

Castro Almeida, Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, said: “Portugal today has a solid scientific basis, renowned internationally.
“The challenge is to transform this knowledge into innovation with an economic impact.
“Tech Foundry Portugal is a strategic instrument to accelerate this transition, bringing science, industry, and capital closer.”
